Thanks for checking out this short project series based on deconstructing the WWE brand.
NXT is the developmental promotion for WWE. Many new performers begin at NXT, learn the ropes, and eventually make their way to the main WWE roster. I love the NXT brand identity. Despite living under the WWE umbrella, it maintains a unique visual that sets itself apart from its major-league brother. Graphics are pushed, glitched, broken, and put back together again before they make it to TV. I couldn’t wait to give it a shot myself. Using Chicago as a backdrop, I pulled in elements from the famous Chicago flag, and the datamosh design that defines the NXT brand. I also produced an original song based on the music style of NXT, which focuses on electronic sounds for many of the performer’s theme songs.
